Product Marketing Manager, Vascular Access
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
POSITION REPORTS TO: Group Manager, Interventional Vascular Products

JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Manager, Vascular Access will create and implement marketing strategies and guide teams charged with multiple product lines and their contribution. This extends from building value in existing product lines to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and assist in developing new ideas based on knowledge and experience. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. You will develop an understanding of clinical use of our products and become the internal champion for Vascular Access.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with product development teams to provide marketing inputs including customer requirement specifications, go-to-market strategy, understanding of product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for the product offering, occasionally working with sales channels, key customers, and clinicians.

A product manager's key role is strategic; however the nature of the position requires a high technical aptitude and the ability to operate with attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage vascular access product life cycle strategic / tactical activities to achieve company goals.
  2. Define market requirements for current and future products through clinical & market research.
  3. Drive a solution set across development teams (Development / Engineering, Regulatory, Design Assurance, and Marketing Sciences & Communications) through market requirements and positioning.
  4. Develop and maintain a pricing plan by product line, market segment and volume considerations.
  5. Proactively and frequently consult with the sales organization to ensure effective two-way communication of product line activities and opportunities/threats.
  6. Develop and implement company-wide business plans, marketing plans, and go-to-market plans.
  7. Support marketing efforts focused on the development of new products and product improvements.
  8. Develop and work within project budgets for assigned product lines, as designated in the annual operating plan.
  9. Provide strategic direction for marketing communications and employee training programs, with respect to Vascular Access markets.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering/science, communications or related.  MBA preferred.  Alternately, two (2) years medical device experience for each year of formal education may be substituted for academic credentials.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience.  Experience in medical devices required.
  • Demonstrated analytical and planning skills with emphasis in execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organized and accurate self-starter who remains calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.

The PM should posses an in-depth understanding of assigned lines, competitors, and positioning. The PM also should possess the knowledge of how to market assigned products through market planning activity.  The PM should have the ability to make decisions and sound business judgments for product lines representing approximately $80+ million in annual revenues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to remain seated for long periods of time.
  • Walking to various departments and/or buildings including stairs and outside.
  • Use of computer keyboard.
  • Some travel required.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Work overtime as needed.

  • The Product Manager is in direct contact with: Sales, R&D, operations, QA / RA and finance.

The Product Manager will be required to actively participate in project teams.  This position reports to the Group Manager, Interventional Vascular Products.

Jr. JDE Business Systems Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
POSITION REPORTS TO: Manager, Business Process Improvement

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for implementing information needs of LRM on a global basis and improving our business processes and technology to accomplish the objectives of the business.  Specifically the incumbent is expected to work closely with the business community to improve productivity, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction by leveraging JDE.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employees are expected to support the quality concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Lake Region Medical, Inc., including a variety of job related tasks which may not be specific to this position profile.  This position requires complete confidentiality due to the system information contents.

Accountabilities Include:

  1. Develop and implement project plans, which include definition, scope, resources and schedule that will satisfy the global business needs.

  2. Define and prioritize projects and tasks in order to achieve company objectives.
    Communicate effectively to stakeholders regarding all project status and priorities.

  3. Lead process work teams in learning and developing new process solutions.

  4. Assess the needs and provide creative solutions to our global operations, and also contribute ideas to improve the function, reliability and quality of services.

  5. Create standards and procedures for business automation processes.

  6. Maintain a professional awareness of tools and techniques that might be used to improve the quality of service.

  7. Implement solutions that must satisfy the business needs for the future, and take into account company growth and customer service objectives.

  8. Evaluate existing procedures and implement timesaving methods.

  9. Direct departments in identifying methods for improving effectiveness and efficiency through the use of automated resources, i.e. manufacturing software etc.

  10. Create and conform to project guidelines, schedules and deadlines.

  11. Propagate detailed processes and procedures, in accordance with MIS policies and practices, for use and implementation of new process tools.

  12. Timely and regular attendance.

  13. Performs other responsibilities and duties as reasonably assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • B.S. in Computer Science.
  • Modules/certification in Finance, Manufacturing or Supply Chain (eg APICS) desirable.
  • Ability to learn rapidly from a variety of sources including application documentation/manuals, formal training, mentoring and self-initiated learning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze, structure and present data to inform decisions.
  • Ability to take initiative and be creative in problem solving.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Operate business computers.
  • Limited lifting required (up to 30 pounds).
  • Travel between buildings often necessary.
  • Travel out of state/country may occasionally be required.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, multiple priorities and professional staff.
  • Must be well organized, accurate, and a self-starter who remains calm and flexible under pressure.
  • Interpret the needs of internal customers.

Machine Maintenance Mechanic II
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
POSITION REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
HOURS: Monday through Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this position will perform skilled duties in the repair of manufacturing machines and general maintenance of  production equipment..  Job duties may include hazardous waste management responsibilities that involve handling, marking/labeling, storing and preparing for shipments.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employees are expected to support the quality concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Lake Region Manufacturing, Inc., including a variety of job related tasks which may not be specific to this position profile.

Accountabilities Include:

  1. Troubleshoot and repair complex production equipment, suggest improvements to improve reliability.

  2. Assist with the building of new equipment, including both mechanical assembles and electrical circuits.

  3. Diagnose and repair electrical circuits, pneumatic and hydraulic systems for production equipment.

  4. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce production downtime.

  5. Must play an active role as a member of the Spill Response Team.

  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

     

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School degree, or equivalent.
  • One year trade school and two years experience required.
  • Industrial Electricity 1 & 2 coursework, or equivalent required.
  • Must read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Must have above average mechanical abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must own or be willing to purchase personal hand tools.
  • Must work well with others.
  • Must have good mechanical problem solving and resolution skills.
  • Will be required to work in confidential areas and with confidential information.
  • Must have good writing skills for documentation of machine information within a maintenance log system.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lifting 50-100 pounds.
  • Walking between buildings, including times of inclement weather.
  • May require ladder climbing.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work without supervision.

Machine Maintenance Mechanic I
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
POSITION REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
HOURS: Sunday through Thursday 10 pm – 6:00 am

JOB SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision this position will assist Maintenance personnel in preventive maintenance, maintenance of buildings, buildings and grounds.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employees are expected to support the quality concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Lake Region Manufacturing, Inc., including a variety of job related tasks which may not be specific to this position profile.

Accountabilities Include:

  1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.

  2. Repair basic mechanical problems with production equipment.

  3. Assist maintenance mechanics with equipment.

  4. Clean up of disassembled machinery.

  5. Shovel snow and other outside duties.

  6. Help with the moving of equipment.

  7. Must play an active role as a member of the Spill Response Team.

  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School degree, or equivalent.
  • Must have physical ability to do lifting, ladder climbing, and moving full barrels of liquid.
  • Will be required to change hours, work overtime, weekends, and some evenings.
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred.
  • Will be required to work in confidential areas with confidential information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

JDE CNC Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Information Systems

JOB SUMMARY:
Lake Region Medical is seeking a JD Edwards CNC Administrator to join our growing Information Technology Department. This is a hands-on technical role which involves: configuring, tuning and overall management of the JD Edwards systems, and providing technical recommendations and engineering decisions. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountabilities Include:

  • Provide technical diagnosis, execute performance tuning, system optimization and make recommendations on design improvements to the corporate ERP systems
  • Manage and maintain, the integrity, structure, performance, capacity, and security of the ERP environment
  • Manage and maintain database operations of ERP system.
  • Work with application development teams to control code and structure migrations into production, identify performance bottlenecks, recommend solutions, and provide direction to optimize the utilization of resources
  • Support package builds and deployment on a JDE 9.0 systems
  • Handle incidents and determine system and application failures
  • Upgrade JDE system and their requirements
  • Define, manage and ensure the effective operation of all interfaces between EnterpriseOne (9.0) and third-party applications environments
  • Maintain Object Configuration Manager (OCM) Database
  • Execute disaster recovery procedures in a multi-datacenter replicated environment
  • Assemble build, and deploy EnterpriseOne packages to System i, Web and clients
  • Engage in installation software changes such as ESUs, Updates, Tools Releases and service packs
  • Manage proactive checks on JDE systems and their servers
  • Provide on-call support to troubleshoot and resolve JDE issues.
  • Handle escalations from the Business Applications Support, IT Service Center or IT Operations for application related issues and respond promptly to system issues
  • Support the daily operations of systems and appropriately apply resources (internal, contract and vendor) to ensure integrity and uptime\availability of the enterprise systems
  • Publish UPK
  • Leverage vendor technical support resources to resolve problems quickly and restore service in the event of issues
  • Implement effective solutions consistent with the size and scope of the business need

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or computer engineering
  • Minimum 10 years in-depth knowledge of Oracle's JD EdwardsTM XE, 8.X, 9.0.
  • Experience with Sequel server 2005 and 2008 databases.

  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility with all levels of management: knowledge of company long-term objectives.
  • Demonstrated willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions.
  • Ability to take initiative and be creative in problem solving.

FINANCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Experience with:

  • Intern-company consolidation
  • Fixed Assets
  • Multi-currency environment
  • Manufacturing accounting

  • Job costing (preferred)
